The Muppets visited America’s Got Talent on Wednesday night, and Kermit and the gang took over the talent show with great aplomb. First, they performed “The Muppet Show Theme” with revised lyrics, then Miss Piggy performed “It’s Raining Men” with Heidi Klum and someone called Mel B (who, oddly, is not a Sesame Street character). Check out both videos below!
The Sesame Street Muppets, including Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, Grover, Oscar the Grouch, Murray, and Big Bird, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night to lend him a hand reading tweets using #WhenIWasaKid. The appearance is incredibly delightful, and as always it’s a joy to see how much Jimmy Fallon loves the Muppets.
Kermit the Frog stopped by CBS News This Morning… this morning to deliver his “Note to Self.” In the video, Kermit goes through his entire life in a note to himself, touching on Sam & Friends (including his work in drag), Sesame Street, and so much more. This video is incredibly touching, sweet, and well produced. Kermit even gives a shoutout to Jim Henson and recites his famous speech from The Muppet Movie. It’s beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
The cast of Sesame Street also took over Good Morning America this morning. Currently only two videos are available (only one is embeddable), which see rock band Great Big World performing a song on the set of Sesame Street (where we see not just Muppets, but Bob McGrath, Roscoe Orman, and more of the human cast) and Mr. Snuffleupagus meeting the equally-hard-to-spell George Stephanopolos before the GMA gang went to Sesame Street to be greeted by an awesome song featuring the whole cast and James Monroe Iglehart, Aladdin on Broadway’s Genie. Check out Great Big World below!
Sesame Street‘s historic 45th Season begins on _____, and to get us pumped for the upcoming season, the show has been releasing plenty of clips, including the two below. The first is probably my favorite “Cookie’s Crumby Pictures” segment yet, Star S’Mores. The second video features singer Janelle Monae as she performs the endlessly catchy new song “The Power of Yet.”
