APRIL 1 – Constantine takes over The Muppet Mindset on April Fool’s Day, creating The Constantine Mindset.

APRIL 3 – Telly Monster visits Mashable and stars in a fun video about microscopes.

APRIL 22 – Ryan Dosier argues that We Need More Female Muppets in a popular article.

APRIL 25 – Doozers, the new children’s animated series from The Jim Henson Company, premieres exclusively on Hulu. The series meets our approval.

APRIL 27 – I Am Big Bird: The Caroll Spinney Story has its world premiere at the HotDocs International Film Festival in Toronto. Our review gives the film 5/5 birdseed milkshakes.

MAY 13 – Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge ends its first season on SyFy. Our review of the season called it “creatively in line with the Henson spirit and is perhaps the best project out of The Jim Henson Company in twenty years.”

MAY 13 – Ryan Dosier discusses his visit to the set of Muppets Most Wanted over three different articles.

MAY 16 – Mashable teams up with Sesame Street again for a video with Bert, Grover, and Zachary Levi enjoying “A Lovely Sunny Day.”

MAY 23 – CNN aired a new half-hour program spotlighting both the Muppets and Jim Henson. The special was surprisingly good and can be watched above!

MAY 28 – Joan Ganz Cooney is honored at the annual Sesame Workshop Gala with a wonderful video, which you can watch above.

JUNE 9 – The Muppet Mindset debuts a fun new article series, What Do The Muppets Mean to Me?

JUNE 17 – Ryan Dosier argued that the Muppets should record a Disney cover album in a popular article.

JUNE 22 – Sesame Street wins a staggering six Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Preschool Series.

JULY 4 – Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy sang songs at PBS’s annual A Capitol Fourth celebration. Fozzie Bear and Animal showed up as well.

JULY 11 – The Muppets star in yet another Lipton Tea ad. This one was directed by Bill Barretta!

JULY 26 – Sesame Street performers Eric Jacobson, David Rudman, and Joey Mazzarino, as well as Grover, Bert, Cookie Monster, and Murray were all interviewed at a panel at ComicCon by Zachary Levi.

AUGUST 1 – Episode 1 of Disney Drive-On with The Muppets is released. The new short-form series stars Walter as he navigates the ins and outs of the Walt Disney Studios, alongside new boss Pepe and old boss Kermit. The rest of the episodes are found on Disney Movies Anywhere.

AUGUST 6 – Bob McGrath jumped out of an airplane at age 82!

AUGUST 12 – Muppets Most Wanted was released on Blu-ray and DVD, with an extra long extended edition included. Our review said of the release: “The extended edition alone makes the Blu-ray worth your time and money, but it’s hard not to be disappointed by the other, incredibly sparse bonus features included.”

AUGUST 20 – Kermit the Frog took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

AUGUST 22 – Frank Oz was interviewed by “In Confidence” for an incredible, insightful 42-minute interview.

AUGUST 22 – The Muppet Mindset takes the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Miss Piggy, Walter, and Pepe still haven’t accepted our challenge!

AUGUST 23 – Constantine appeared live at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando for a meet and greet as part of the “Villains Unleashed” event.

AUGUST 26 – The Muppet Mindset turns 5 years old! In celebration, we moved the entire blog over to WordPress.

AUGUST 29 – The Muppet Mindset debuts a new article series: Muppets Gone Missing. The first interview features Muppet writer Joe Bailey.
