Who is Angel Marie ?

Angel Marie a big dumb monster who first appeared in Muppet Treasure Island as one of Captain Flint’s old crew to retrieve the treasure. He has a few moments in the movie like dressing up, singing and dancing in Cabin Fever, acting like a foghorn while steer before Long John trick Mr. Arrow, and sword fighting with Squire Trelawney before getting knock out by a tree.

After Muppet Treasure Island, Angel Marie appears nine years later in the Muppets Wizard of Oz as one of the Wicked Witch of the West’s flying monkeys, and he actually has a big supporting role as he tries to kill off the Cowardly Lion, but ends up getting tickled by him, and had a part in getting rid of the Wicked Witch of the West by filling the rest of the bathtub with tap water.

Angel Marie made more appearances in a Haunted Holidays sketch, the famous Bohemian Rhapsody, and then later in Muppets Most Wanted as a gulag chef, which explains the constant nausea after each meal.

Why do the Muppets need Angel Marie?

Well, when it comes to dimwitted characters, Fozzie, Link Hogthrob, Beauregard and Bobo already got that category filled. However, Angel Marie is one of the monsters and where with the Muppets, you can’t have too many monsters. As the new Muppet show is close to debut, hopefully there will be a sketch of Muppet monsters singing with Angel Marie is constantly annoying Uncle Deadly would be funny.
