Jarrod Fairclough – In very exciting news, it’s been announced today that actor and comedian Jenny Slate, known for her work on Parks and Recreation, Bobs Burgers and as Deputy Mayor Bellweather in Zootopia, will be voicing the iconic character Miss Nanny in the new Muppet Babies, which premieres next month on Disney Junior.
As per the original series, Miss Nanny will only be seen from the torso down, but this time her famous tights will change each episode, depending on the theme. We’ve been treated to a great little featurette, where Jenny talks about the role and her love for the series.
The rest of the cast has also been revealed;
Melanie Harrison (“Fish Hooks”) as Piggy; Dee Bradley Baker (“Milo Murphy’s Law”) as Animal; Ben Diskin (“The Spectacular Spider-Man”) as Gonzo; Eric Bauza (“The Adventures of Puss in Boots”) as Fozzie Bear; Jessica DiCicco (“Puppy Dog Pals”) as Summer; and rounding out the cast as Kermit is Matt Danner (“Gravity Falls”), who also serves as supervising director on the series.
Muppet Babies premieres next month, and we can’t wait for all our dreams to come true!
