Jarrod Fairclough – A while back we shared the news that The Muppets were shooting a bunch of shorts to premiere on Disney+, the upcoming streaming service. Well, Disney and The Muppets have just announced that the series of shorts, called Muppets Now will be debuting at an unspecified time in 2020.
Kermit announced the news via The Muppets various social media accounts, unfortunately having to redact half of it, due to their lawyer Joe the Legal Weasel.
The shorts are all unscripted, meaning the Muppet performers had as much input as they could possible have. From the very small amount we know from various inside sources, it sounds like it’s going to be a great little series.
We’ve also heard rumblings that the announced Josh Gad led series is not going ahead due to scheduling conflicts.
