The Muppets ‘Great Moments In American History’ Allegedly Set To Close at Walt Disney World.
Three years ago The Muppets got their very own live show at Walt Disney World, as Sam Eagle presented the stories of the Declaration of Independance and the Ride of Paul Revere.  The show has been a consistent hit, but Walt Disney World News Today are reporting that budget cuts at the park mean the show is rumored to be closing at the end of this month.  While WDWNT hasn’t had the best track record when it comes to rumors, we’ve seen a couple of comments from people online who say they work at the park, and that the rumors are true.  If that’s the case, it’s very disappointing.

‘The Muppets Live Another Day’ Is Dead
Earlier this year there were rumors that Josh Gad and his team had pitched a Muppet series to Disney entitled The Muppets Live Another Day, to air on their upcoming streaming service Disney+.  While it was never officially announced, it has officially been cancelled, due to creative issues between Gad’s team and the folks at Muppet Studios.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gad and his team were offered the chance to develop a different project for The Muppets, but refused.
However Muppets Now, the shortform unscripted series, is not affected in any way.

The Muppets On Disney+
Speaking of Disney+, they had a soft opening in the Netherlands last week, where some fans were nice enough to show us which Muppet productions would be available when the platform officially debuts in November.  It looks like all the theatrical Muppet movies will be available aside from The Muppets Take Manhattan and Muppets From Space, as Sony owns the distribution rights to those films.  Also available is the ABC series The Muppets, as well as the new Muppet Babies series.
It seems The Muppet Show and Muppets Tonight will not be on the platform, at least not at launch.

Kermit Goes Cruising
Muppet Stuff are reporting that Kermit will be a guest on board the Disney Vacation Club Member cruise from October 5th – 12th, and will star in one of their almost 30 planned shows for that week.  Disney Vacation Club promoted his appearance with the video above.

Helpsters – Coming November 1st to Apple TV+
Sesame Workshop have put together a brand new show for Apple’s upcoming streaming service, called Helpsters.  The show is designed to help children learn coding, which is quickly becoming a skill necessary to navigate work.  While we don’t know an awful lot, we have a few photos, seen above and below.  We also know that puppeteers include Marty Robinson, Tim Lagasse and Jennifer Barnhart, and that Matt Vogel directed an episode.
