Jarrod Fairclough – Get ready for a new spin on a Christmas classic, as Variety reports that comedian and musician Bret McKenzie (of Flight of the Concords fame) is set to adapt Emmet Otter’s Jugband Christmas for the big screen!
Bret’s no stranger to writing for felt, as he wrote the songs for both the 2011 film The Muppets and 2014’s Muppets Most Wanted. Now he’ll be writing both the script and the music for the adaptaion of Jim Henson’s 1977 special, which will be co-produced by The Jim Henson Company.
We have no idea when we may be able to expect to see The Riverbottom Nightmare Band projected on the big screen, but we’ll be sure to bring you more updates as we get them.
